It's ironic, unfortunate, and untimely that Earthawear's first blog entry comes at a time when Massey Energy's Montcoal, WV mining operations are undergoing recovery and rescue following yesterday's explosion.
Although many in the green movement have taken stands against the coal industry, I believe this is not the time to attack the industry, but rather a time to take a more humane stance - one of the community of man. Let us join together to pray for those who have lost loved ones, hope for a successful rescue for those missing, and healing to a devastated mining community.

Our "what can you do?" tagline suggests green, renewable tips that reduce our carbon footprint with a focus on reduced energy consumption and pollution for a more eco-friendly attitude towards the earth. Perhaps the hippies were right... it's our planet, our responsibility.
